The pressure system solar water heater uses the fluid in the copper heat pipe as heat exchanger, which the heat startup is very fast. The all-glass evacuated solar collector tubular is heated by the sun and transfer the heat to the fluid in the copper heat pipe by the aluminum heat-conducting sheet. Then the fluid changes from liquid into vapour by heating and goes up inside the heat pipe. After exchanging the heat between the condenser end of the heat pipe with the water in the storage cylinder, the fluid turns into liquid again and goes down to the base of the heat pipe. By this circulation the water in the storage cylinder is heated by the heat pipe as long as the sun shines. When hot water is used cold water will be supplied automatically to the storage cylinder by the cold water pressure. In this system there is no water flowing in the evacuated tubes so it is specially used in frost areas.
AUDSUN has two kinds of pressure system. One is that the storage cylinder and heat pipes are closed mechanically and the other is the collector is separated from the storage cylinder. For both kinds although there are some evacuated tubes broken the solar water heater can still work normally but of course the heat efficiency will reduce a little. And both have very good antifreezing performance.
The storage cylinders of pressure system are tested by AUDSUN workers before leaving the factory. The testing pressure is 1.2MPa (12bars) and the operation pressure is 0.6MPa (6bars). The daily efficiency is over or equal to 55% normally and in winter, over or equal to 42%.
