This is an "Open Circuit" Active Split System, where the collector is separated from the storage cylinder, which provide flexibility to design the home with the collectors on the roof and the storage cylinder on the ground level or below the level of the collectors.
It uses good quality of boron silicon all-glass evacuated tubes with selective coating Al-N/Al as collector and copper heat pipe or U-pipe as heat exchanger. This system is fitted with a sensor at the collector outlet and another located on the storage cylinder. A temperature difference between the two sensors activates the circulating pump that moves the cold water from the cylinder to the collector. The solar energy is absorbed by the water and returned to the cylinder. The pump continues to circulate the water and the water in the storage cylinder is heated. There is a steam vent valve and T.P valve on the top of the storage cylinder and a pressure relief valve on the cold water inlet to ensure safety use.
The storage cylinder of this system is made of stainless steel SUS 304 or SUS 316 by automatic argon arc welding, which is very durable and insulated by high density CFC free polyurethane integral foam made in high pressure and constant temperature condition, which insulation performance is better than normal.
An intelligent controller with a circulation pump is included in the system. Electric booster is installed in the storage cylinder in order to supply hot water on raining or cloudy days. The use of expansion tank ensures the safety of the heat circulation.
Two Heat Exchanger models can be used for the houses, where people already use a boiler or other boosting system. When the sun shines the water in the storage cylinder is heated by solar energy and in cloudy or raining days the water will be heated by other energy from the upper heat exchanger. It can also be used for room heating.
All the storage cylinders should be tested before leaving our factory. The tested pressure of this system is 1.2MPa (12bars) and the operation pressure is 0.6MPa (6bars). The daily efficiency is over or equal to 55% normally and in winter it is over or equal to 42%.
